Art on the Streets is collaborating with local artists in response to community interest to co-create art in public places, and residents desire to reflect the creative community in on-street infrastructure. “We decided to celebrate our community with vibrant crosswalks that are co-created with artists and community members,” says Margy Waller, serendipity director for Art on the Streets. “The Over-the-Rhine Community Council expressed interest in collaborative arts, and the Second Sunday on Main organizers invited us to do it while the streets are closed for their events.”
