Inside Out

The Exhibit by Martha Schottelkotte

Artist and Designer Martha Schottelkotte is one of the twelve children of Al Schottelkotte, the newsman who dominated Greater Cincinnati TV newscasts for 25 years. Her father’s love of everything ‘Queen City’ took center stage in her upbringing, as did Al’s commitment to providing his children with endless opportunities to explore the arts, music, sports and more. Through art lessons, regular museum visits and activities with the Girl Scouts, Martha explored her creativity, talent and her love of all things art.

This eclectic exhibit is the expression of Martha’s creativity and artistry as it applies to both interior and exterior works. Many pieces were created through the use of items that were destined for the landfill. The artwork explores the possibilities of everyday objects and how they can be transformed through various mediums, including metal, stone, wood, tile, acrylic paint and plants.

Special thanks to Ohio Stone and Rustic Roots Hair Studio for their exhibit support. The show is free and open to the public. Light bites and refreshments will be served.

The Exhibit will run through mid September, 2019.
